The 4-channel relay module is a full height module that provides four relay outputs. Any number of 4-channel relay modules can be placed in any slot on the right for transient data interface modules. Each output channel relay module of 4- can be independently programmed to execute voting logic. Each relay used on the 4-channel relay module includes alarm drive logic. The programming of alarm driven logic uses AND and OR logic, and groups can use alarm inputs (alarm and danger states), abnormal, or combinations from any monitoring channel or any monitor channel in the rack. You can program the alarm driver to meet your application needs using the 3500 rack configuration software
Ordering 3500 monitors with the Hazard Certification option (01&-2) has passed the Zone 2/Zone 2 certification standards (including ATEX/IECEx and North American division). The standards for Zone 2/Zone 2 stipulate that increasing the required voltage at higher positions and 3500/32M relays do not meet these spacing requirements. For this reason, The 3500/32M relay hazardous area certification option ordered together (including the country specific hazardous area certification option that has historically been restricted to a voltage lower than the ordered voltage through non hazardous certification options). Using a higher voltage will violate the hazardous area certification option associated with the certificate. If the 3500/32M is functionally safe (the SIL system functional safety certificate requires voltage limitation), higher voltage functional safety (SIL) systems are not allowed. It is possible to connect field wiring to 3500/32M relays so that conductors are exposed to potential human contact. This may result in a dangerous voltage of electric shock at high temperatures. Customers can only use 3500/32M relays specified under voltage. Appropriate safety measures must be taken regarding the risk of electric shock.
