Each IMR digital output module has three sets of isolated electronic devices called channels, which independently receive data from the MP associated with each channel. These channels use patented four channel voting circuits to vote on a single output signal applied to the load. The voter circuit is based on a parallel series path, and if two of the three switches (channels A and B, or channels B and C, or channels A and C) command them to close, it passes through the power supply. The four way voting circuit has multiple redundancies on all critical signal paths, ensuring safety and maximum availability. For each point, the DO module will periodically execute the Output Voter Diagnostic (OVD) routine. In order to achieve unrestricted safe operation in various multi fault situations, 0VD will detect and alarm the following types of faults: ● Point - detects all stuck and stuck in less than 500 milliseconds. Switch - detects all stuck or stuck switches or their associated drive circuits. The dissolved oxygen module includes complete and continuous diagnosis for each channel. If the diagnostic program detects a fault in any channel, the fault indicator light will turn on and activate a system alarm. The fault indicator identifies a channel fault, rather than an entire module fault. The dissolved oxygen module ensures normal operation in the event of a single fault and may continue to operate normally in certain multiple faults. The DO module supports the hot spare module. Each dissolved oxygen module adopts mechanical keying to prevent improper installation on the configured base plate. These backplanes can be used in conjunction with the 3401 DO module: ● 2401 for typical applications. 2401L type for low current applications that require integral current limitation. Each output is equipped with a 180 ohm series resistor. DO external termination base plate, used in high-voltage applications with relay output external termination panels, or Type 9671-610 DO hazardous area external termination panels.
