The 4409 Safety Manager Module (SMM) serves as the interface between the Tricon controller and the Honeywell Universal Control Network (UCN), which is one of the three major TDC-3000 distributed control systems. Displayed as a secure node SMMS on UCN on the Honeywell system, transmitting process information at full network data rate for use anywhere on TDC-3000. Multiple myeloma transmits Tricon alias data (including system variables) and diagnostic information to the operator workstation in a display format familiar to Honeywell carriers. The TDC-3000 provides the following functions through SMM: ● Process critical I/O points and transmit the results to DCS ● Process Tricon alarms and propagate them to user-defined DCS ● Destination (console, printer, etc.) ● Read/write alias data to meet DCS requests ● Reading Tricon diagnostic display controlled by DCS Write protect, lock changes to Tricon controller TDC-3000 source Synchronize the master clock from DCS. There are many Tricon controllers for point-to-point communication, each containing an SMM-DCS that can use shared data to send significant process changes to downstream Tricon ● Alarm. Event sequence - Transfer Tricon event data to a public display or historical workstation module for recording, to help determine the cause of factory trips and increase process uptime.
