Tricon operation is based on the principles of safety and high equipment availability, which can identify and compensate for faulty control system components and allow online replacement while continuing to allocate tasks without interrupting the controlled process. Fault tolerance is achieved through TMR technology. TMR adopts three isolated parallel control systems and extensive diagnostic functions, integrated into one system. The Tricon system uses two-thirds (2oo3) voting to provide high integrity, error free, uninterrupted process operation, and no single point of failure. Simplified application settings for use with Tricon, as the TMR system operates as a single control system view from the user's perspective. Extensive diagnosis is inherent and transparent to programmers.
