Each RXM has a single channel transmission and reception cable port. In the remote chassis, each of the three 4200N main RXMS is connected to the 4201N remote RXMS. The RXM is connected through two fiber optic cables running k baud at a communication rate of 375. The interface wiring for each channel is unidirectional. A single cable transfers data from the main RXM to the remote RXM. The second cable carries the data received by the main RXM from the remote RXM. RXM has anti-static function and electromagnetic interference. Fiber optic cables provide isolation between Class 1E to non 1E SR host boxes and non safety related expansion boxes. The Tricon V9 has 4210N and 4211N main RXM as well as remote RXM settings using single mode fiber optic cables. The V10 uses multimode optical cables and has passed the remote RXM settings for 4200N master devices and 4201N authentication. Both use the same software (see Table 2) and support different types of optical fibers. Supporting V10 multimode fiber optic cables that can span 1.2 miles, while V9 supports a single mode version that can span 7.5 miles. Although both RXM sets are qualified, they cannot be interchanged across platforms because they do not meet the conditions for interchangeability.
