The Analog Input (AI) module consists of three independent input channels. Each input channel receives variable voltage signals from each point, converts them into digital values, and transmits the values to the three main processor on-demand modules. In TMR mode, then use the median selection algorithm to select a value to ensure the correct data for each scan. Each input point is sensed to prevent The way a single fault is executed on one channel can affect another channel. Each analog input module remains intact, and each channel undergoes continuous diagnosis. Any diagnostic fault channel will activate the fault indicator module, which in turn activates the chassis alarm signal. The module fault indicator only reports one channel fault and does not report module faults. Module failure indicates how many faulty channels can operate normally. The analog input module supports hot backup and can replace faulty modules online. The analog input module requires a separate external terminal panel (ETP) to be connected to the Tricon's backplane through an electrical circuit. Each module has a mechanical key for the correct installation of the Tricon chassis.
