This power module provides logical level sorting signals for the RX7i backplane module. It also provides overvoltage fault, overcurrent, and overheating protection. A powerful tray fan helps to provide cold air, which forces air into the engine of the power supply. This fan is installed at the bottom of the rack. The IC698PSD300 also has an airflow sensor that can detect fan faults or air blockage. If the power detects an interruption in airflow, it will respond by turning off all outputs and turning on the over temperature LED (RED). When the internal temperature drops to the working level, the power supply will automatically recover from this situation. The three LEDs of the IC698PSD300 module work together with the airflow sensor. A green output indicates that all three DC output channels are operating within the specified range. It will only turn off when one of the three DC output channels fails. If the critical supply temperature exceeds its limit or the airflow sensor detects airflow interruption, the red OVERTEMP LED will alert the user.
