The I0C4T input/output card serves as the signal interface for the VM600 series MPC4 mechanical protection card from the Meggitt vibration meter domestic product line. Installed at the rear of the VM600 rack and directly connected to the rack backplane through two connectors. Each IOC4T card is associated with the corresponding MPC4 card and installed directly behind the VM600 rack (ABE04x or ABE056). I0C4T operates in slave mode and communicates with MPC4 through connector P2 using the Industrial Packet (IP) interface. The front panel of I0C4T (rear of VM600 rack) contains terminal strip connectors for connecting transmission cables from measurement chains (sensors and/or signal conditioners). Thread terminal connectors are also used to input and output all signals from any external control system. The I0C4T card has all input and output anti electromagnetic interference and surge protection functions, while meeting EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) standards. I0C4T connects the original dynamic (vibration) and velocity signals from the sensor to MPC4. These signals, once processed, are transmitted back to IOC4T and are available on the terminal strip of its front panel (behind VM600). For dynamic signals, four onboard analog-to-digital converters (dacs) provide calibration signal outputs within the range of 0 to 10 V. In addition, the four onboard voltage and current converters allow signals to be provided as current outputs in the range of 4 to 20 mA (jumper optional).
