The universal marshalling solution provides standardized marshalling for central and distributed installations using signal conditioning components. The signal conditioning component handles 16 I/Os, including disconnection and fusing as default values, and the signal conditioning adapter (SCA), including isolation, intrinsic safety, relays, and other functions, can be selectively inserted when needed. SCA supports standardized cabinet assembly and wiring configurations without the need for custom wiring.
The unique features of UMS include:
Provide three layers of flexible field terminals to meet various field wiring requirements.
The signal conditioning adapter is inserted into USCA to eliminate the need for separate installation of isolators, relays, signal converters, and barriers.
USCA has an integral (optional) fuse and knife disconnect for easy equipment installation and maintenance.
Provide D-Sub connectors on USCA for interface with IOTA.
On site power supply is provided through USCA through System Integration Cable (SIC) from Safety IOTA.
Provide optional power connectors to power the active signal conditioning adapter.
Optional 16 plug and play signal conditioning adapter.
Vertical installation for more effective wiring, as most field wiring applications require entry from the top or bottom of the cabinet.
LED for quick visual prompts to attract maintenance technicians' attention to important status information of relays and active signal conditioning adapters.
