EcoStruxure "FoxboroT" DCS Field Control Processor 280 (FCP280) is a new type of distributed, optional fault-tolerant, on-site installed controller module that performs tuning, logic, timing, and sequential control with connection to the Foxboro DCS Field Bus Module (FBM) . And conduct data collection, alarm detection, and notification. FCP280 is connected to the Foxboro DCS control network through standard fiber optic or copper 100mbps Ethernet cable and installed from the network adapter on its backplane (see next figure). FCP280 requires Foxboro DCS Control Core Services software v9.0 and above. A system with FCP280 and this software is called the EcoStruxure Foxboro DCS process automation system.
